St. George’s, Grenada, October 8, 2025 – On October 16, 2025, credit union members around the world will celebrate International Credit Union Day, an annual event to commemorate the credit union movement’s impact and achievements. This year marks the 77th anniversary of this annual event, which will be celebrated under the theme of “Cooperation for a Prosperous World.”
Local celebrations will be held at Pearls air strip, St. Andrew, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, beginning with a parade at 1:00pm from Simon pasture.
Celebrations in Carriacou are scheduled to take place at the Hillsborough Tennis Court on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with a parade from the Hillsborough Community Centre at 2:00pm.
Members can also win fantastic prizes during the GrenadaCreditUnions Trivia Fridays on the Facebook page of the Grenada Co-operative League Ltd.

Since 1948, International Credit Union Day® has been celebrated annually on the third Thursday of October.
